RECON'S SPECIALIZED WORKSHOP—FOR YOUR STUDENT VETERANS
Your student veterans are showing up. They’re enrolled, they’re trying, and most of them are quietly struggling in ways that don’t show up on an academic report.
That's because their military transition is unique. It didn't end with enrollment; it continued on in spite of it. And as you know, it runs underneath everything else they are facing—identity shifts, financial pressure, culture shock, and the loss of structure and purpose they didn’t know they were relying on. And many campus support programs outside of your student veterans program, however well-intentioned, were largely built for a different kind of student.
RECON: Campus is a focused, two-hour, in-person workshop that gives student veterans a framework for understanding where they are, what’s driving the friction they feel, and where to put their energy next in order to succeed.
It’s not a career workshop. It’s not a benefits briefing. It’s the work that makes everything else more likely to stick.

FOR STUDENT VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES.
Every student who walks in will leave with something real: a completed GAP Analysis, and a roadmap of their way forward, boiled down into one concrete action that will prove progress within 72 hours. Whether you choose to host once for 30 people or annuallly for 100, all you need to provide is the room.
Here's what happens inside it. ↓
Session 1: Why transition feels broken — and why they’re not
Session 2: A personal GAP analysis across the RECON 7 Pillars framework
Session 3: Identifying what unresolved gaps are actually costing them
Session 4: Building a personal roadmap forward, with THE next step

Forget passive panels and one-way presentations. RECON's structured workshops are designed to put you in the driver's seat of your own clarity. You'll complete a private GAP analysis, work through what's actually holding you back, and leave knowing exactly where to focus your energy next — without anyone telling you what your life should look like.

LEARN
You can tell a lot about an event by who shows up to speak. At RECON, we curate practitioners — people who've navigated transition themselves, who work with veterans and military families every day, and who have something real to say. Expect short, focused sessions that challenge assumptions, cut through noise, and give you something you can actually use.
CONNECT
The Resource Expo and end-of-day networking hour aren't afterthoughts — they're part of the experience. Meet local and national organizations who are actually worth your time, connect with peers who get it, and build the kind of relationships that don't end when the day does. Community is one of the most underrated tools in transition. We're making space for it.

RECON: Seattle is a guided, single-track experience. No breakout room maze. No choosing between sessions. Everyone moves through the day together — and every workshop builds on the last—with the entire goal of moving you forward.
Most people leave service thinking transition is a moment. It's not — it's a process. And that process often sets you up to feel like you failed before you ever had a real foundation. This session reframes everything. Struggle isn't a character flaw. It's a structural problem. And once you see it that way, everything changes.
You'll examine what you expected transition to look like — and where those expectations actually came from.
This is the core of the day. Using RECON's 7-Pillar Framework, you'll do a private, honest assessment of where you actually stand — what's stable, what's fragile, and what's missing entirely. No one will ask you to share it. No one will judge the results. This is just you, on paper, getting real about where the gaps are.
You'll leave this session knowing exactly what's actually broken — not what you've been told should be a priority.
This is where insight becomes motion, and you'll create a plan for your own path forward. Not a rigid plan. Not false urgency. A realistic, 6–12 month map that accounts for your actual life—your support, your constraints, your resources. Direction over precision. Systems over goals.
You'll leave with something in your hands — not just your head.
Gaps don't stay quiet. They show up as stress, conflict, burnout, stagnation, and many other problems that seem unrelated but actually aren't. This session connects the invisible to the visible—and helps you recognize the costs you've been normalizing as just "how life is," in order to start minimizing the spend in your daily life.
You'll identify one cost you've been carrying that you didn't have a name for until now.
Bell Harbor Conference Center — Seattle, WA
Set on the waterfront of Elliott Bay with views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, Bell Harbor is a fitting backdrop for a day built around reflection and forward motion. RECON: Seattle will take place in the heart of one of the most veteran-friendly cities in the Pacific Northwest.

We know "free" and "actually worth your time" don't always go together. Here's what you actually need to know before you show up.
The investment is $3,000 per session, paid by the institution. The workshop is completely free to every student veteran who attends.
A RECON coach leads every session personally, and every participant receives a GAP Analysis and a Roadmap worksheet. Space is provided by the institution; all facilitation, materials, and preparation are handled by RECON.
Any student veteran or military-adjacent student who is navigating the overlap of military transition and college life. That includes students who just separated, students who are a few years out, and students who look fine on paper but feel like they're running on fumes. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from this.
Due to time constraints, we have a recommended cap of 100 students in this workshop. Bring as many student veterans as you can get in the room; we'll scale accordingly. (Higher populations may want to restrict attendance to upcoming graduates, or book RECON: Campus annually with a reduced rate.)
Yes. Campuses that want to make it an annual touchpoint can do so at a reduced rate.
Due to the high-touch nature of this workshop, along with RECON's event schedule for the rest of the year, we are only booking 10 campuses for the 2026-27 academic year.

RECON: Campus is designed to complement what your Veterans Services Office already does — not replace it. It fills the gap between logistical support and the internal work of transition that most programs don’t touch. If you're interested in grabbing one of the 10 spots we have available for this program in the 2026-27 academic year, fill out the form below and one of our team members will be in touch.
